CinemaItalianStyle 2012 is produced by:
Luce Cinecittà and the American Cinematheque, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture – Film Department, the Italian Trade Commission in Los Angeles, Pinko, Alberto Moretti, Baci Perugina, Rossano Ferretti and the participation of E.L.M.A. (European Languages and Movies in America). In collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, Los Angeles. For the importance of the event, it has been recognized under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles.

The 2012 edition of CinemaItalianStyle – the Los Angeles glamorous showcase for Italian contemporary cinema – takes place this year from November 13 to 18, displaying a film selection of Italy’s best and most recent productions. The festival will kick off on November 14th with Caesar Must Die (Cesare Deve Morire) directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, official Oscar® Entry, Italy, Best Foreign Language Film, and winner of the top prize at the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival.

CIS 2012 is dedicated to the great producer Carlo Ponti. On November 13th, the masterpiece of Italian cinema Two Women (La Ciociara) will be screened at the Egyptian Theater in remembrance of him and to celebrate also 50th Anniversary of the Oscar® received by Sophia Loren. It was the first time a foreign actress was ever awarded as best actress.

As the former editions, it relies on the support of the honorary committee made up of the CEO of Luce Cinecittà Roberto Cicutto, Bernardo Bertolucci, Jo Champa, Martha De Laurentiis, Danny De Vito, Michael Douglas, Giancarlo Giannini, Jim Gianopulos, Anjelica Huston, Sophia Loren, Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo, Michael Nathanson, Rick Nicita, Pietro Scalia, Stacey Snider and Harvey Weinstein.
