MATTEO GARRONE’S ‘DOGMAN’ TRIUMPHS AT ITALY’S DAVID DI DONATELLO AWARDS

DOGMAN by Matteo Garrone, with Marcello Fonte (Best European Actor, Best Actor Cannes 2018), Cinema Italian Style Hong Kong & Los Angeles 2018 opening night movie, and official Italian entry to the Oscars 2018, scored an impressive result, receiving 9 David di Donatello Awards (the Italian Oscar), including Best Movie, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (other awards went to Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Make Up and Best Sound Mixing).
Confirming the great choices by Artistic Director Laura Delli Colli, other Cinema Italian Style titles received the most prestigious Italian award: LORO by Paolo Sorrentino (2 including Best Leading Actress for Elena Sofia Ricci), and THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME by Gabriele Muccino, who won the Audience Award.
