On November 10, CIS 2011 will meet international press and guests at the De Laurentiis residence in Beverly Hills. On this occasion, a video hommage in memory of the great producer will be screened to the press. Close friends will be present, as will Dino's wife, Martha, and their daughters, Dina and Carolyna.

The week-long Cinema Italian Style program includes a November 10 pre-opening event at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica with CIS Award recipient Terry Gilliam. Gilliam will meet the audience after the screening of his 1985 Oscar-nominated film Brazil and introduce his latest short film The Wholly Family which was shot on the streets of Naples. Further program highlights are a panel discussion on tax incentives for filming in Italy organized by A.N.I.C.A (Italian Association of Cinema Industries), the opening of Dress in Dreams' new exhibition "Star Wigs" at the Italian Cultural Institute and film presentations at local universities and cultural centers to introduce the best Italian movies of the year to film students.

On November 11 a gala evening will officially open the Festival presenting the Official Italian Entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards® 2011: Terraferma by Emanuele Crialese, already awarded with the Jury Prize at the International Film Festival of Venice.

In the following days, the films screened will display the best Italian Cinema of the past season. The films' cast and crew shall be present. On the side, meetings between the artistic delegations coming from Italy and talent agencies based in LA; interviews; screenings and classes at LA Universities; exclusive cocktails in CIS's partners boutiques on Rodeo Dr.

During the retrospective, the association "Dressing Dreams" will present the exhibition "Star wigs" in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, opening on Nov.10
