Synopsis: |
“Quiet bliss”, entirely filmed in locations dear to the director, in the Finibus Terrae locations - Giuliano di Lecce, Corsano, Tricase and other localities in Salento – and acted by non-professional actors (the lead character is Celeste Casciaro, producer Winspeare’s wife), is the story of four women from the same family in a small town in lower Salento, in our days of momentous economic recession. The shutdown of their small business and the repossession of their house seem to ruin everything, including family ties. The only way out is to move to the country, work the land and live by trading their products. This forced choice is the beginning of a catharsis which will lead the main characters to reconsider their sense of life and especially their emotional relationships. |
