Davide (Riccardo Scamarcio) is a struggling writer who never gets along with his father, Ettore, a famous scriptwriter of bad movies. When Davide's father dies in a car accident, he leaves Milan and moves in with his mother. He encounters his father's publisher, Ludovica (Sharon Stone), a beautiful woman interested in publishing the autobiography Ettore has written. Intrigued by the idea of finally getting to know his father, Davide looks for this mysterious book in his father's computer, but he finds out more than expected of his father, and of himself.
