November 10th

In collaboration with AFI FEST screening of “The Last Emperor” in 3D, restored by Recorded Picture Company and Repremiere Group. Bernardo Bertolucci will introduce the screening at the Chinese theatre complex. For ticket information: http://www.afi.com/afifest

November 13th

The day begins with a morning press conference to introduce the delegation of talent from Italy to the Los Angeles press, coordinated by the Italian Trade Commission office in Los Angeles.
In the evening, Cinema Italian Style 2013 will present the photographic exhibition “Portraits”, based on the book by the same name by Fabio Lovino, at the Italian Cultural Institute. This exhibit continues until the end of December 2013. Following, the association “Dress in dreams” will present “Movie’n’ food”, a dinner dedicated to the connection between food and cinema. Both events are invitation only.

November 14th

The opening night of Cinema Italian Style, will start at 4:45 pm, with the Italian cast on the red carpet at the Egyptian Theatre. Confirmed talent include: Bernardo Bertolucci, Roberto Andò (director LONG LIVE FREEDOM), Claudia Gerini (actress A PERFECT FAMILY), Nicola Giuliano (producer THE GREAT BEAUTY and WELCOME MR. PRESIDENT), Viola Prestieri (producer THE GREAT BEAUTY and HONEY), Kasia Smutniak (actress WELCOME MR. PRESIDENT), Paolo Sorrentino (director THE GREAT BEAUTY), Maria Sole Tognazzi (director A FIVE STAR LIFE), Jasmine Trinca (actress HONEY).

After the opening remarks, the Cinema Italian Style Award will be presented to Bernardo Bertolucci and Paolo Sorrentino.

At 6:00 pm: screening of The great beauty by Paolo Sorrentino, the Italian Entry - Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards®.

From November 15th to 18th

Screenings of some of the best Italian films of the year at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, introduced by Italian directors and actors.

From November 15th to 20th

Screening of a selection of documentaries at the Italian Cultural Institute.

November 22nd

Concert Orchestra Italiana del Cinema at Royce Hall - UCLA (8.00 pm). In collaboration with the best LA young music talents.
An unforgettable multimedia concert, with poignant video segments, celebrating the partnership between music and film.

November 23th

In memory of Federico Fellini, screening of his masterpiece La dolce vita and the latest film by Ettore Scola, dedicated to him, How strange to be named Federico.
